Welcome to my little homestead in world-wide-webland!
Make yourself at home (you can imagine I’ve offered you a virtual drink as you take off your virtual coat) and visit the other rooms in this little adventurer’s cabin to find the goodies (almost as good as cookies!) I’ve included here. Not least among those goodies are links to my articles that are available online and links at the right to the blogs I post on pretty regularly.
I’m a copyeditor, freelance writer, and consultant. (at this point, why mince words?)
As a copyeditor, I’ve worked for clients big (publishing houses) and small (improving a friend’s resume) and relished the opportunity to help make the printed word a little bit prettier and more correct.
Wearing my primary hat (no, not literally), I write ~magazine articles ~essays ~newspaper stories ~press releases ~bios ~marketing and web copy ~and nearly anything else you could find yourself needing a writer to write. While the range of subjects I cover is wide, my niches include religion, the arts, higher education, non-profits, and international culture.
The consultant title covers all the other jobs I do to cobble together a small but joyful living. These have included such varied activities as production assistant work on short film and television projects, publicity work for non-profit organizations, and researching secret societies of the Middle Ages for a novelist. It’s an open-ended list, though, always open to being jazzed up by another new assignment!
